Turnbuckle Radio co-host Trevor Robb make their bold predictions before Sunday’s WWE SummerSlam PPV live from the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, California.
WWE Championship match (w/ Triple H  as special guest referee) John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan:  TR: I’m not sure if this counts as bold or not but here we go. I’m betting that Bryan wins this match. He will most likely win a grueling match where both guys are left exhausted, so much so that Cena gets knocked out cold from the Yes! Lock and he loses after the referee drops his arm for the third and final time. I weary Bryan celebrates, but then wait! What’s that!? Cue the Disturbed intro music and out comes Orton to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase. Orton and Bryan trade blows until Orton strikes with the RKO. But somehow Bryan kicks out! Orton gets frustrated and loses his cool and Bryan sneaks in a school boy pin for the 1-2-3 and Orton is left shocked. I think this would be an effective way to solidify Bryan as a legit main eventer. But who knows! This one could go many different ways. WINNER: Daniel Bryan
CM Punk vs. Brock Lesnar: TR: This one should be great! And to be honest I’m having a tough time predicting this one. You have to think Heyman will get involved somehow but I imagine his attempt (s) will back fire and somehow benefit Punk. And so there we go, my money is on Punk. Almost solely because he’s the lone full-timer in the match. WINNER: CM Punk

World Heavyweight Championship Alberto Del Rio vs. Christian: TR: I like ADR as a heel, far better than his attempt at being a baby face and the ridiculous Si! Si! SI! chants. But I think it’s time we saw some new blood in the World Heavyweight title picture. To be honest, I’m pretty pumped for this one solely because I think Christian actually comes away with the win to crown himself a three-time World Champion. But that’s before Damien Sandow, the intellectual saviour of the masses and all around great guy, comes out and cashes in his MITB contract and becomes the NEW World Heavyweight Champion! You’re Welcome! WINNER: Damien Sandow

Kane vs. Bray Wyatt (Ring of Fire Match): TR: I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen an Inferno Match, ahem, Ring of Fire match. This is Kane’s element, this is where Kane feels most comfortable — he’s ultimately way too comfortable with fire in general. But I think this match will prove to be a coming out party of sorts for Bray Wyatt, who is a fantastic wrestler and performer. I can imagine the Family (Harper & Rowan) will find their way into this match somehow. Should be fantastic! WINNER: Bray Wyatt

Dolph Ziggler & Kaitlyn vs. Big E Langston & Divas Champion AJ Lee: TR: I’m legitimately pissed about how far Ziggler has fallen since his electrifying World Heavyweight Championship on RAW in New York City following Wrestlemania. We all knew Ziggler and AJ would break up, and we knew Big E and him would have a falling out, much like Diesel/Shawn Michaels scenario. But it’s been done so poorly — I mean really who cares who wins this match. Do you? Certainly it doesn’t max out the Who Gives a Shit Richter Scale like the Natalya/Brie Bella match, but it ranks up there — call it a 7.0. For arguments sake, I’m going with Ziggler and Kaitlyn — but again, who cares…WINNER: Dolph Ziggler and Kaitlyn.

Cody Rhodes vs. Damien Sandow: TR: As a big Sandow fan, I have really enjoyed the build-up to this match. Watching Sandow struggle to swim in the Gulf of Mexico was great. But that being said, I think Cody’s momentum and excellent showing at the Money in the Bank PPV will carry forward to this one and he will come away with the victory. WINNER: Cody Rhodes

Natalya vs. Brie Bell: TR: Seriously WWE!? Seriously? WHO CARES!? You’re telling me this couldn’t be the preview match — although if it was I doubt ANYONE would watch. I know we have to hype up the Total Divas show, I get it, but I don’t care. I love Natalya, but the WWE has done a fantastic job in mismanaging her character. Terrible match that doesn’t belong on the main card. I predict the Natalya hate-fest will continue and Brie will pick up the win. WINNER: Brie Bella. LOSER: The WWE Universe.

U.S. Champion Dean Ambrose vs. Rob Van Dam (Kickoff Match): TR:  This will be a great match, write it down. These two guys should put on a great back-and-forth contest, and to be honest it’s tough to pick a winner. It’s hard to imagine Ambrose losing when you have Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns backing you up. But I could also see the SHield attempting to interfere but running into Henry and Big Show — who appear to be acting as RVD’s bodyguards. This will give RVD the chance to land his Five-Star Frog Splash and get the 1-2-3 to be crowned the new U.S Champion. And thus the dissection of the Shield begins, as I imagine the Uso’s might be Tag Team Champions sooner rather than later. WINNER: Rob Van Dam — the real fucking deal!
